Just returned from the British nationals, I had the misfortune of bombing on the bench. You win some you lose some I guess (lol).. I was good for 340-350kg's on the deadlift but I couldnt finish the show. So I'm going back down to 82.5kg's from 90 as I feel I lift better at that weight. I was 2 light at 90kg's... The Best part of the day was meeting Ano, Minna and other members of team Metal. Ano is massive in person, I have a picture of me with him and you can just imagine the vikings from years ago Wink

Next show for me now is the Europa powerlifting show. I'm going down to 82.5kg's and I'm hoping to pull 340kg's.. I would like to take a pop at the all time record in Miami at the end of the year in the world's. I think its currently 360kg. I have a new King pro deadlifter suit to train with and I think it will help my lockout.

I would like to thank Ano and Minna for the support with my training gear and I have the next few months to practice. I'm back training tomorrow ready for the Europa so I will be posting regular for anybody that is interested in keeping up with my log.

It was also great to meet you. You had bad luck in bench, but this is sport. I believe, you lift big next time and we will give all support for you.

set 1 60kg 10 rep's

set 2 100kg 5 rep's

set 4 140kg 5 rep's

set 5 180kg 2 rep's

set 6 220kg 2 rep's

set 7 260kg 2 rep's

set 8 300kg 2 rep's

set 9 322.5kg 2 rep's this set was very difficult, I was not in the correct position.

set 10 322.5kg's 1 rep (fast)

hyper's with band's

set 1 (red band) 10 rep's

set 2 (red/blue band) 10 rep's

set 3 (red/blue band) 20kg disk 8 rep's

roman chair sit ups

set 1 10 rep's

set 2 20kg disk 10 rep's

set 3 20kg disk x 2 10 rep's

post workout : build and recover shake (50 grams of protein) / kre evolution creatine and 10 grams of glutamine

Monday 21st of july (squat session)

box squats
set 1 60kg 8 rep's

set 2 100kg 5 rep's

set 3 140kg 5 rep's

set 4 180kg 5 rep's

set 5 220kg 3 rep's ace briefs

set 6 265kg 3 rep's ace briefs

leg press (havent leg pressed in some time thought it would make a nice change)

set 1 100kg 10 rep's

set 2 200kg 8 rep's

set 3 300kg 8 rep's

set 4 400kg 6 rep's

set 5 430kg 4 rep's

standing calf raises

set 1 100kg 10 rep's

set 2 150kg 10 rep's

set 3 200kg 8 rep's

reverse crunches with weight

set 1 12 rep's 10kg dumbell in between my feet.

set 2 12 rep's 20kg dumbell

set 3 12 rep's 22.5kg dumbell

friday 25th deadlift session

started the session off the floor

set 1 60kg for 5 rep's

set 2 100kg for 3 rep's

set 3 140kg for 3 rep's

set 4 180kg for 2 rep's

set 5 220kg for 2 rep's bar speed was fast on all sets, used belt only.

Thought I would try out something I read regarding Benni's training log. The Jeff Jet method where you start the lift at lockout then take the weight down to the floor then pull it back up.

set 6 260kg from rack (Jeff Jet method) for single

set 7 300kg for single

set 8 340kg for single

rack lockouts (from knee)

set 9 350kg for single

set 10 400kg for single

hypers with bands

set 1 blue band 10 rep's (squeeze hard at top with arms down in the same position as deadlifting).

set 2 blue band 50kg disk 10 rep's

roman chair sit ups

set 1 20kg disk with 10 rep's

set 2 40kg disk with 10 rep's

post work out 50grams of whey protein.. 2 x sachets of porridge oats (50grams of carbs) 10grams of creatine

set 8 340kg 2 rep's (slight bounce in setfor second rep no pause)

rack lockouts from knee

340kg for single

370kg for single

405kg for single

reverse crunches

set 1 12 rep's

set 2 10 rep's 10kg dumbell

set 3 10 rep's 25kg dumbell

post workout shake 50 grams of whey 50 grams of carbs (porridge oats) 5grams of creatine.

Finished my last deadlift session friday, Just went up to 180kg raw and fast for 3 sets of doubles. No assistance, just worked on my speed.


I'm competing next saturday at the Europa Super show. I'm on a high at the moment as my best bro Flex Lewis took 2nd place in the Tampa pro show in the 202 class lat night. He is competing again next week at the Europa so we will be helping each other out. This bit of good news is what I needed before I lift.

My grip feels strong, my deadlift feels fast and I have no injuries at present (touch wood).. I have been watching clips of Benni, Ano, Jon Paul and Kaz and I feel this is the calm before the storm. I got fire in my belly and an iron grip so the rest is up to me!!! I will speak to you all when I get back. Leaving for Texas in the morning.

Just returned from the Europa super show, had a great time and won the 90kg class.

started back training yesterday...

squat session

stiff legged deadlift

set 1 5 60kg

3 sets of 12 reps (heavy)

Well done at the Europa Super show mate. What did you get on the deadlift?

Are you doing the GPC or WPC World's?
